• About Nathan Budhu

  I am a front-end web developer with over 10 years experience in the multimedia, web design, user interface development, 'new' media industry. Which ever title you care to wrap the package in, essentially I make web sites look good and their users feel better.

  Currently, I am a User Interface Developer @ Brightspark Inc. (Jewlr.com) since late 2009. Prior to that I wore the customary freelance web designer/developer robe adorned with shiny CSS, XHTML, Jquery, Photoshop and SEO jewels for most of 2009.

  The bulk of my professional life in the web design field was @ First Media Group, where I was the lead Web Interface Developer from 2004 until late 2008. I've also held the ominousprestigious title of Project Manager @ a then upstart software publishing company (GeniSoft Publishing Inc.), where I became the highest ranked employee not related to the owners. I was around 24 at that time, I thought I'd add that in there as my own pat on the back.

  Amid professional training in Multimedia Development @ Trebas Institute (Web Design, Flash Development, Graphic Design, 3D Modelling, Video editing, Audio Mixing and even CD-Rom authoring), eCommerce Development @ Humber College (Javascript, XHTML, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, SQL, WAP), as well as Corporate Communications @ The Bell Centre for Creative Communication (yes I once aspired to be a 'spin doctor'), I have also interned with Virgin Music, ANU Publishing and even World Wrestling Entertainment in various digital publishing capacities.

  I've had an interesting career in this STILL burgeoning field of digital communications and I hunger for more every day.

• Freelance, full-time or contract?

  I would assume that most of you viewing my site (who are not related to me) are interested in my development talents. Whether it be as a part of your team or for one-off projects.

  I would like to make it certain that I do prefer to work in a stable full-time or long-term contract environment. I have easily transitioned my '9 to 5' working life with my off the clock freelance life quite easily. I have been freelancing with Insiteful Solutions since 2003 as well as various clients on short term projects. The two lives never interfere with each other and I am fully competent to meet your development needs no matter what situation you prefer.
